What to include in a bug report
- The device and browser, such as iPhone with Safari or Windows with Chrome.
- The page you were on and whether your phone was portrait or landscape.
- The steps immediately before the problem: selecting a tile, requesting a hint, finishing a round, or opening Scores.
- What you expected and what actually happened. For a score question, include the previous score and the pair or hint involved.
A screenshot can help with a covered tile or a layout problem. Crop out account details, private browser tabs, and other personal information first. An unfinished round is not saved, so a screenshot is often more useful than refreshing the page.
Before sending a score or rules question
A visible tile may still be covered or blocked on both horizontal sides. See the open-tile examples. Hint penalties are described with numbers in the Hint cost table.
Records exist only in the browser where they were submitted. We cannot restore them after that browser's site data has been cleared. The personal-record explanation covers what is and is not saved.
Privacy and content enquiries
For an email-data request, contact us from the address used in the original conversation where possible. Describe the message you want corrected or deleted without sending identity documents. For a content or artwork concern, include the page address and enough information to identify the material.
Read the privacy policy for information about local scores, hosting, and advertising. We cannot change a browser record remotely because there is no shared scores database.
