About Jade Tile Game

Jade Tile Game is an independently maintained Mahjong Solitaire website: one Turtle board, a ten-minute round, and room to think before your first move.

A familiar puzzle, with deliberate choices

The project began in July 2026 around a simple aim: make a tile-matching board that is comfortable to read and play in a browser. Much of the early work went into tile spacing, visible layer depth, and keeping the board usable on both desktop and phone screens.

There are no accounts to create, apps to install, purchases, or cash prizes. Mahjong Solitaire is a single-player matching puzzle. It shares tile symbols with traditional Mahjong but does not use that game's four-player rules.

Why this version works this way

A clock that waits
The timer begins after the first successful pair. This lets you inspect the opening arrangement without spending your playing time on learning the controls.
One five-layer Turtle layout
Repeatedly playing the same shape makes it easier to recognize long-row bottlenecks and stacked pairs. The tile distribution changes each round.
No Undo or Shuffle
A decision stays part of the round. When no legal pairs remain, the result explains your progress and you can start a fresh board.
Hints with a trade-off
Hints help locate pairs, but after play starts new hints cost progressively more points. The same pair is not charged repeatedly.
Records that stay on your device
Submitted results are saved in your browser. They are not uploaded to a global leaderboard and cannot be recovered through an account.

How the guides are made

The walkthrough follows the controls you actually see. The rules and scoring reference is checked against this game's behavior. The practice positions use our in-game tile set to explain specific decisions, with their assumptions stated beside each diagram.

The practice positions are deliberately small. They show why a move works, rather than claiming that one strategy can guarantee every full-board result. If a guide contradicts your game, please tell us which step and what happened.

Maintenance and feedback

Recent updates added landscape fitting for phones, clearer personal-record labels, illustrated learning material, and worked scoring examples. The current site version is 1.3.0, updated September 5, 2026.

We prioritize reproducible problems: clipped tiles, a blocked pair that appears selectable, a score that differs from the rules, or browser-specific flicker. Email [email protected] with the browser, device, and steps that led to the issue.
